When working with geometric shapes, Sergio Camargo often created structures that evoked architecture. In this case, a kind of impossible staircase emerges, making it impossible to define whether it is a slide, an inverted staircase, or something in between. The form results in an almost labyrinthine structure, reminiscent of the work of the Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher.
