In this relief, Sergio Camargo arranges the wooden pieces in a way that doesn't occupy the entire surface of the canvas, unlike what was more common in his work. Instead, he creates a form reminiscent of a scar in the center, a striking tear that contrasts with the smooth plane around it. It's a technique that also appears in the work of the Italian artist Lucio Fontana, with whom Camargo studied early in his career.
